Last summer in the architectural reserve Bozhentsi, Bulgaria, I conducted with Dutch type designer Martin Majoor a two-week workshop for Typofest.

It was a fantastic experience with an enthusiastic group integrated by designers from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, and Turkey. The students designed their typeface, starting from scratch with a double pencil on an empty sheet of paper, and finishing it on their laptops as a digital font file.
