Typo­stammtisch Berlin

Typo­stammtisch Berlin is a monthly meeting of type designers and other letter loving people. Strictly independent. Established 2006 by Ivo Gabrowitsch, who built it up with Florian Hardwig up to 2015. Current Typo­stammtisch team: Benedikt Bramböck, Luc(as) de Groot, Sol Matas and Sonja Knecht.

• Golnar Kat Rahmani, introduced us into the square Kufic, one of the earliest Arabic/Persian calligraphy style.

• Stammtisch-stammtisch with Florian Hauer giving a cool presentation about Typodarium.

• Great lecture with Jan Middendorp, talking about his vast career around the world full of music, theater, books and type.

• Stammtisch-stammtisch in one of the most rainy evening in Berlin, we survived and were able to have great discussions about WIP in Typeface design.
